Great Plains Medicare got its start in 2020 after we, owners Joe and Siera Linneweber, noticed there was a lack of knowledge in the Medicare field. What is worse is agents would pigeonhole individuals in the few companies or plans they offered. Common complaints we heard were: 

• Never heard from agent after initial sale
• Could not get ahold of agent throughout year
• Had no idea about so & so plan or price
• Didn’t know about certain benefits they were entitled to

Since we had close to 20 years of combined Medicare insurance experience, both of us were captive and independent, and we were both somewhat financially secure finally 😊, we decided we could change Medicare for local South Dakota residents.

Great Plains Medicare offers every insurance company and plan available, which allows us to offer the Sioux Falls and surrounding communities the insurance knowledge, medical options, prescription services, and plan comparisons they never had before. We pride ourselves on full transparency, and if someone is already on the correct plan, we will let them know that, and explain how to take advantage of some benefits they might not be aware of.

The Great Plains Medicare insurance expertise includes the state of South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, SW Minnesota, and NW Iowa. 

We truly love coming to work and sharing insurance information with the people who need it most. Since opening in 2020, we are proud that Great Plains Medicare already has more than 600 members. Hopefully, our rapid growth helps prove we take care of our people.
